Meet Niko

Niko Sullivan Moss, LPCC

I am a queer, transgender, non-binary, neurodivergent, white, therapist and educator. My role as a therapist is to be in deep presence with the person in front of me. As a therapist I hold and speak to both sociopolitical context, to interrogate normativity and more accurately map stories, and the inherent beauty, multiplicity, and worthiness of every human. I see myself as a collaborator and narrative storyboarding partner. I love working with people who are queer – in relationship style, gender, sexuality, and mindscape. Supporting people who are in a process of self exploration and self expression lights me up. I utilize a present moment, mindfulness-based, person-centered approach that draws from contemplative practice, Gestalt therapy, parts work, transpersonal psychology, liberation psychology, and queer theory. I am committed to the practice of being an anti-racist, sex-positive and sex-critically-conscious, gender-affirming, non-monogamy-affirming, neurodiverse-affirming / mad-affirming therapist. I love utilizing non-traditional approaches in therapy, and I believe in the importance of play, slowness, and listening deeply to more-than-human kin. My motivation as a therapist, and in all of my work, is collective liberation. I am an LPCC and I am working towards becoming an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST).
